GASTRAUM was created as a functional, open event kitchen for our friend and chef René Steinbach.

A place designed for cooking, hosting, testing ideas and bringing people together — without visual noise, without unnecessary statements.

Instead of designing a “show kitchen”, we focused on clarity, durability and flow — creating a space that supports the work rather than staging it.
The kitchen forms the functional core of the space, surrounded by open seating and working areas that can be reconfigured depending on use — from long tables for shared meals to loose seating for discussions and events.



Materials were deliberately reduced: stainless steel, white surfaces and honest construction details define the space.
Everything is built to be used, moved and worked with — not to impress at first glance, but to last.
